Welcome to the Wings Over Houston [WoH] Motorpool website. This Wiki provides WoH Staff and Volunteers with information about the services and support provided by the Motorpool.

Need Motorpool during show operations? We can be reached via several different means:

Via an Airshow Radio:

• Call for Motorpool on the Pilot Shuttle / Motorpool channel (this is the preferred method)

The Motorpool keeps the show moving in three main ways. Whether you need a golf cart checked out, a ride across the field, or help getting guests with mobility needs where they need to go, this is the place to start.

If you already know what you are looking for, jump straight to the section you need:

• Staff and Volunteer Transportation - Moving Staff, Volunteers, and the occasional pile of “stuff that needs to be somewhere else right now.”
• Courtesy Carts - Mobility assistance and guest support during public show hours.

The Motorpool manages all of the golf carts on the field used by the Airshow. Based on the Logistics Requests provided to Airshow Operations, we order the carts from our vendor.

Complete, clear, and accurate responses to this survey are critical to ensuring everyone has what they need to make the show run smoothly and efficiently. Nobody likes surprises at Zero Dark hundred hours on a show day.

The Motorpool is also here to help move Staff, Volunteers, and the occasional pile of “stuff that needs to be somewhere else right now.”

If you need to move people or things and your team does not have a golf cart, or needs more capacity than you have available, we are here to assist.

Medical, Heroes & Legends, and Volunteers (Carol Lee) have made extensive use of this service on a yearly basis.

Additionally, we stage carts at the Volunteer Gate as soon as they open until the traffic dies off to help get your volunteers to their posts as quickly as possible and without the extra wear and tear on their feet from hoofing it from one end of the field to the other. Look for the golf carts with the blue Staff & Volunteer Transportation flag on them.

Courtesy Carts help elderly patrons, disabled patrons, and others with mobility needs get to and from the gate areas without turning their Airshow day into a cross-country hike.

These carts are for mobility assistance and guest support, not general taxi service around the field.
